Cityscapes & Interiors
The human figure is usually absent from my work, but its presence is implied in cities, people's creations. On deserted streets, one can imagine city life. Interiors of builidings are metaphors for the interior of the soul.
Landscapes & Skies
In nature, I feel at home. Only in natural surroundings do I feel like I can breathe. I inhale the landscape and exhale the painting. The sight of the sky constantly changing with the light of the sun, the moon, and the play of the clouds, is something I can never get enough of.
Seascapes
I first loved the sea. The motion of the waves – like a breath. The endless expanse where thoughts fly free. By the sea, small as I am, I feel myself rising.
Flowers
The light breathing through magnolia petals turns them into my favorite flowers, delicate yet fleshy at the same time, their sap drawn from strong branches.
Watercolor
With its delicate transparencies, watercolor captures light in a unique manner, like a memory that cannot be fully grasped, a vibration of the moment.
Drawings
There is a gesture, a moment of presence behind each line. The process of drawing becomes a form of meditation—my silent approach of the world and myself.
